When we relocated to Los Angeles last summer I spent the majority of my days unpacking and sending "hi, how are you, can we get coffee" emails to other creatives in the area. Antonio -- founder and editor in chief of Life & Thyme -- was one of the first folks to actually respond to my request and I quickly forced him to name the meeting place (as one should when meeting with the editor of a food magazine). In the short time we were together his passion for Life & Thyme was apparent in the way he spoke about chefs as artists and the hardest workers he'd ever met. He and his team are committed to telling the stories of the people who create the food that gets instagram-ed -- and they do a mighty fine job. They've been in countless (hot) kitchens (big and small) and all over the world. With a wildly successful kickstarter campaign, their first print issue should release this spring and we can't wait to snag a copy. But today we're thrilled to have our honey bee photo essay featured in their online journal. Check it out and take some time to browse the other beautiful, often untold culinary stories.
p.s. it's not too late to snag your own copy of our inaugural issue of STUDY | The Bee Issue. See more photos from our bee farm field trip and enjoy recipes, interviews and illustrations to further your appreciation of the honey bee!
