As we ramp up for our next issue of study (the Sea) we are sharing some of our favorite spreads + extra photos from our first issue, Bees!

1. Shave/chop pieces of beeswax into ball jar
2. Heat water in gallon pot and set ball jar with wax in the middle, use as a double boiler
3. While wax is melting prep your wick. Cut a piece of wick long enough to tie onto skewer and dip far enough into jar.
4. When wax has melted dip the wick in and let sit for 10 seconds. Pull out and let cool. Then begin to dip quickly so the previous wax does not melt. Dip until you have a desired thickness.
